innovative tradition
Tradition isn’t about holding the ashes, it’s about passing on the flame. It is the glowing enthusiasm of the Elsensohn family that makes the fourth-generation Hotel Enzian a very special place. The Elsensohn family in Zürs am Arlberg has been accommodating its guests since 1925, is now the 4th generation to live and maintain a very personal hospitality and proudly looks back on more than 95 years of Hotel Enzian!

life's work
Tobias Elsensohn’s life’s work begins in 1925 with the construction of the Gasthof Enzian, which originated from a simple alpine hut and had been used for summer in the Alps for centuries.
His son Johann survived the years of war unscathed and in 1943 he took over the business and ran the Gasthof Enzian with his wife Elisabeth (known as Liesl) with great personal commitment from the difficult post-war period.
Thanks to many hardships and the forward-looking management of the couple, their son Richard took over the Enzian, which has since been expanded into a hotel. Richard and his wife Irene carefully combine living tradition with the modern standards of an innovative 4-star hotel.
Sincere hospitality and a warm atmosphere still surround the Hotel Enzian more than ninety years after it was founded.
The fire of enthusiasm for the hotel industry continues to burn. In 2022, daughter Marion and husband Denny took over the business and look back with pride on the work of their ancestors and, with a lot of passion and new ideas, represent the fourth generation of the Elsensohn host family.
It is a place of feeling home for guests, employees and the family itself with their little son Luis, who represents the fifth generation.
